ALTISS Technologies is developing a line of special-use drill pipe to provide operators and contractors with new ways to solve challenging drilling problems.

• Aluminum Drill Pipe (ADP)- ADP has been used in situations where reducing the weight of the drill string can be beneficial to a drilling operation.  The weight of Aluminum Drill Pipe is 50% lighter (wet weight) than comparable E-75 drill pipe.  Aluminum Drill Pipe enables operators to utilize smaller,  less expensive rigs without additional upgrades.  Aluminum Drill Pipe is more ductile than Steel drill pipe and therefore provides improved fatigue resistance in directional drilling of extended reach wells.  ALTISS Technologies.

• ALTISS Technologies has developed a proprietary line of specialty engineered  premium threaded connections.  These unique threaded connections and connector assemblies give clients customized metal connection solutions that are engineered to meet specific operational performance requirements in a wide variety of applications.

• Ultra-Short Radius Drill Pipe -   Using advanced FEA modeling of lifecycle fatigue,  ALTISS Technologies is leading the development of specially engineered titanium and aluminum drilling tools which will permit operators and drilling contractors to achieve unprecedented short radius wells utilizing rotary rigs.   Products are currently in late stage development with field testing expected in 2013-2014.

Aluminum Drill Pipe

ALTISS Technologies is a provider of premium Aluminum Drill Pipe for the Oil and Gas Industry.

In today’s world, drilling safe, cost effective wells comes at the top of every operator’s drilling program.  Aluminum drill pipe has been used to drill oil and gas wells since the 1960’s.  Utilizing its superior strength-to-weight ratio vs. steel, ALDP could be the answer to some of your biggest drilling challenges.

Consider using ALTISS’ Inventory of Aluminum Drill Pipe for:
  • Extended Reach Drilling (ERD)
  • Deep Water
  • Drilling Rigs with limited weight capabilities
  • Geotechnical Drilling
  • Smaller rigs for drilling in remote/environmentally sensitive areas

--then look into the advantages that aluminum drill pipe can provide.

ALTISS is in the process of field testing ALDP with selected partners/customers.  A better understanding of the drilling envelope will enable operators to more effectively use ALDP in their drilling programs.  Today, more than ever before, safety comes at the top of every drilling campaign.  Rigid testing regimens will increase the safety factor on even the toughest wells.
